1 week!

one week from today, Dale and I will be in the doctor's office HOPEFULLY finding out the sex of baby Holmes! Can you tell I'm excited? I'm also ready to see baby again and make sure it's growing well and that everything looks normal. It's been 5 weeks since we've been to the Dr. so I need to calm my anxiety down and just make sure everything is okay. I feel good most days and am just ready to get started on things. We have started researching all the necessary baby items: stroller, car seat, pack n play etc. It really is like a marathon session just figuring out what you like, what's good, what gets good safety ratings etc. Not to mention there is like 34545 different brands and opinions about everything. Once we know the sex, we'll try to narrow it down and at least start on the nursery. Dale's parents offered to buy us the crib and we are using a bassinet his mom had from when he was a baby. My mom is getting the rocking chair she used for all of us kids refinished for us to have so there is minimal stuff we actually have a buy. We are definitely blessed for that- babies are not cheap.

All is good on the work front. Getting geared up for summer orientation. It will be here before we know it and go by so fast. I know summer means baby is right around the corner too so I'm trying to enjoy the moment where we are now. Dale is still coaching baseball- they finish up in a few weeks. I am glad he gets summer off because he needs a break. And football season will really be here fast plus baby, plus a hormonal wife so I think he needs a few months to get his head on straight. Bless him!

Here we go....

How far along: 19 weeks 1 day

Total weight gain: 6.8 almots 7. I still haven't hit that big weight spurt thats supposed to happen around this time. I'm sure it will come soon enough.

Maternity Clothes: same as last week really. Except pants are getting tighter after I wash them so inevitably, clothes shopping will need to happen soon enough, especially now that it is warmer I can't wear my winter pants.

Stretch Marks: Same as last week

Best Moment this week: One more week to go, spending time with Dale researching nursery colors and patterns. He is really into it and I love watching his face light up when he sees something he likes (even if I hate it and we will NEVER put that in our child's room :))

Movement: I still think I feel things but it's probably nothing yet or something un-uterus related.

Food Cravings: Sara- I ate NO caliente last week! haha. I don't know what that means as far as whether or not it was a craving but I feel better about it. I am tired of fast food and unhealthy food and really crave healthier, homemade things. the only problem is getting the energy to cook them. I'm getting better though.

Pregnancy Symptoms: Sleeping has become pretty non-existant. Well, at least good, uninterrupted sleep. Dale and I rotate nights we sleep on the couch because I need so much space on the bed or my leg hurts too bad in bed so I go to the couch. This is very new and differnet to us because we are usually good sleepers that are in bed by 11 and we both sleep straight through the night. I'm adjusting as best I can. I haven't had to wake up to pee yet so add that to the mix in a few weeks and I am pretty sure I will be miserable. Heartburn has been better so that's good. I don't know if it will come back or not but it hasn't been an issue the past couple of nights!

Labor signs: None yet!

Next time I post, we'll know what baby is!
